Access

At each secure access point, a Time Recorder along with Electronic Lock are fitted. When the card is swiped, the Time Recorder checks if

• The card is valid
• If it is permitted to allow entry
• If any time zone restrictions apply (i.e. access denied during a specific time interval).

If all the conditions are satisfied, then the lock is activated, and the door can be opened.

The smart card can be utilised for secure login to the PC. A password is stored in the card, which validates that keyed in by the used. The card will also keep track of how many hours were used.
